Equipment

Instructor Station PC - Qty: 1

This is a Core i7-3770 CPU with 8GB of RAM, a 128GB solid state drive, CD/DVD ROM drive, and integrated Intel HD video.

Blu-ray Player - Qty: 1

This is a stand-alone Blu-ray disk player. It is capable of reading Blu-ray disks or DVDs. Controls will be on the touch screen when the device is selected.

Large-Screen Display - Qty: 1

This is a large high-resolution flat-screen video display, available for use by the room's video sources, usually controlled from a Touch Panel or Pushbutton Video Selector.

Enova Switcher - Qty: 1

An Enova switcher provides digital connections (HDMI and Mini DisplayPort) for user-supplied laptops as well as the standard VGA connector. Audio connections are provided as well if needed.

Generally, all of the cables, along with “aux” inputs and electrical outlets, are found in a cable cubby on the top of the instructor station. In rooms without a cable cubby, the cables can be found near the instructor station monitor.

To use these inputs, attach your computer, select “Laptop” from the touch pad, then select from the three connection options: VGA, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort. Select an audio source if needed.

Cable Cubby - Qty: 1

Cables for connecting user-supplied laptops can be found in a small black box located on or next to the instructor's podium. VGA with audio, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort and LAN cables are located in this box.

VGA Video Connection - Qty: 1

This is a VGA-type video display connection, for connecting a laptop to a room display system. The cable is available either in a cubby on the side of the podium, or near the monitor on an instructor station pc.

HDMI Video Connection - Qty: 1

This is a 'High-Definition Multimedia Interface' connection to the room's video display.

Touch Panel Control System - Qty: 1

Start here: This is a touch-activated control panel that activates (powers up) and selects the display, audio and computer equipment in the room. Some touch panels are as large as a computer monitor, and may enter a sleep mode. Tap them to wake them up. For full information, read the step-by-step instructions below.

Please remember to select 'Power Off' before leaving the room.
